Expressions of Interest

NLCSW is currently accepting expressions of interest for the following committees:

NLCSW Disciplinary Panel 

The Disciplinary Panel is comprised of Registered Social Workers (RSWs) and public representatives. RSW members of the Disciplinary Panel are appointed by the NLCSW Board of Directors and public representatives are appointed by the Minister of Health and Community Services.

The panel is currently recruiting 1 RSW in good standing for a term of 3 years. The panel has regularly scheduled meetings on a quarterly basis throughout the year. One of the functions of the Disciplinary Panel is to conduct adjudication tribunals and hear evidence regarding complaints against professional social work practice. The panel makes a determination as to whether a RSW has acted in an unskilled or unprofessional manner. Consideration will be given to registrants who possess the following:
• Master of Social Work (preferred)
• Minimum of five years’ experience in social work practice

NLCSW Quality Assurance Committee

The Quality Assurance Committee is a committee appointed by the NLCSW Board of Directors which oversees the Quality Assurance Program and policy and procedures related to the Quality Assurance process in accordance with the Social Workers Act (2010). Committee members are appointed for a 3-year term. The committee meets bi-monthly, with additional meetings as required.

The committee is currently seeking 1 Registered Social Worker (RSW) in good standing to join the committee. NLCSW Communication Facilitators

NLCSW continues to recruit communication facilitators from across the province to join other registered social workers who are helping to further the strategic direction of stakeholder engagement as outlined in NLCSW’s 2021-24 Strategic Plan. The central focus of NLCSW’s Communication Facilitators Committee is to support information sharing between NLCSW and social workers. Committee meetings are held every 3 months, typically on the 3rd Monday of the month, and the meeting schedule runs from September to June.
