This 2 day workshop takes a bio-physiological approach to trauma. The workshop will describe the different nervous systems within the body, how they function independently and with each other, and what their function is during stress. It will break down how stress reaction and trauma present in clients, and how to separate it from their cognitive and narrative override.
The approach during this workshop will be psychoeducational, with experiential learning to not just 'know' but to fully understand how trauma is a condition which must be addressed through the nervous system before it is able to be processed through heart or brain.
