The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is marked annually on September 30. “The day honours the children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities” (Government of Canada). The day also serves as a reminder of the importance of continuing to advance the process of reconciliation.

A call for nominations was released to the membership in April 2025.
